THORICE M. JACOBS, ATTORNEY AT LAW
I was born in Syracuse, New York but have lived in Grand Island, New York for most of my life. My brother and I were raised by a single mother who instilled strong work ethics in us from a young age. I watched her work hard for every penny earned and to this day, I pride myself in knowing that without her struggles, I would not be the person I am today.

When my mother found herself disabled after an illness, she was forced to fight for benefits to help provide for us and herself. Witnessing this first hand, I made a vow to help those who cannot help themselves due to an injury, illness or disability.
I graduated from SUNY University at Buffalo in 2005 with a Bachelors in Political Science. I was named the Most Outstanding Student of Political Science and had the honor of interning with a U.S. Senator. I was invited back to teach administrative law as an Adjunct Professor for a couple years following law school.

My initial career with Workers' Compensation began before law school at the receptionist desk. I felt it was important to take time off and make sure I had some beginner's legal experience at a Workers' Compensation firm. I went on to graduate Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and was admitted to the NYS Bar in June of 2011.

Since 2011 I have grown my career as an attorney working on Workers' Compensation and Social Security Disability claims.

I understand how difficult living with an injury can be, not only to the client, but also to the family. I will always be there to answer any and all questions, as well as meet with you and your family to address any concerns that you may have. I have two children of my own and understand how an injury may cause additional stress on the family. As I have my own family and pay my own bills I understand how important it is to live check by check and what an injury can do to jeopardize what you have worked so hard to obtain.

My goal is to try to take as much as the legal headache out of the process so that you may concentrate on getting better and moving forward with your life. While professional, I still provide a personal touch to make you feel that no question is too small and we can take as much time as you need to understand every aspect of your case.

I truly honor myself to be able to represent those that just wanted to go to work, perform their job duties and come home to their family but instead suffered a work injury. I understand it was not what they had wanted and therefore it is my duty to explain, zealously represent and obtain every benefit an injured person may be entitled to under the Law.

MOLLY E. SMARR
I grew up in Newfane, NY, a small town in Niagara County. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Niagara University in 2017. Then I attended Law School at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. I graduated with my Juris Doctorate in 2020.
I began Law School seeking a career in Public Interest Law always knowing that I wanted to return to Western New York to practice. During the summers, I gained meaningful experience working at local legal aid. In my last year of Law School, I worked as a student attorney in the Immigrant Rights Clinic representing non-citizens in immigration proceedings.
I began working at the Law Office of Tori Jacobs as a legal assistant in July 2020. I am very grateful for the time that Tori has spent educating me in the field of Workers’ Compensation Law and Social Security and Disability. I am so excited to begin working as an Attorney in the office, representing the claimants that I have become so familiar with.
